We drove down to Twin Falls yesterday to take the kids to see the Twin Falls temple with my family. My sister Angie (with her five kids) and her family are living in Nebraska while her husband Aaron is going to dental school. We met them there on their drive up to visit us. Two of my other sisters, Liz (with her 4 kids), and Whitney (with her two) and my dear ol' mom. Counting Kerry and the kids we took up half a tour with 7 adults and 14 kids. Needless to say, it was the least reverent experience I have had in a temple; but one of the most spiritual and enjoyable to see all of those cousins curiously exploring a house of the Lord.
It was a learning experience for all. I learned that we need to spend just a little more time teaching our kids about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Before we left that morning, Kerry and I were telling the kids about the temple. When we told them about the baptistery and that we do baptisms for the dead there, Sam sarcastically retorted "noooooo you don't do baptisms there, what don't you know, you were baptized when you were eight". Hum? Can anyone guess what our FHE lesson will be about for the next week of Mondays?

Here is a link to the Twin Falls Temple page.
I also found a great video made of the tour. At the end of the video, Elder Walker says "this will be remembered as one of the great events of their lives". It sure was for me... to see all of those members of my family in the temple together. I hope it will be for the kids.
