Just a quick update on the boys. They wanted cooler haircuts, so this is my attempt at that. I have to say they are pretty cute.

I just can't believe that Sam is eight(in a few days) I almost cried while sewing the numbers on his scout shirt. I wasn't sad that he isn't a baby anymore, I just love being his Mom and seeing him become a little more grown up. He has been looking forward to Scouts for about 5 years so this is huge for him. He loves to read and he is starting to choose books that I remember reading like Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Jake is the comic relief in our family. He gets away with a lot because of it. He loves his school(he attends a dual language school). He loves to correct peoples pronunciation of Spanish words and he is always right. He LOVES to IM his aunts and cousins on facebook, it's totally hilarious. He is still a momma's boy and that's Ok with me.

I love hearing all about the boys...and their wonderful mom (and dad:}...they look soooo handsome. I am really looking forward to seeing them and being there for Sam's baptism and just visiting. Eight yrs. old! It seems to me that you just turned 8 yrs. -- oh my goodness!
Oh, I wish Sam was in our pack! Kris and I think cub scouts is the greatest calling ever especially when we have Tigers-Webelos and get to do it all. We've requested to be the leaders until we leave (that's when the Bishop gave us both huge hugs LOL...how can cub scouts be a hard calling to fill?) Scouts is one of the reasons boys are so much fun!
that is such a mike face (on jake in the second picture)
Fantastic Mr. Fox!!! I loved that book, still do. I remember once, in Kennewick, I wanted to read on the bunk beds because they seemed "woodsy", even though FMF takes place in a hole...anyway, we had a very unusual "bacon" (not the actually bacon, the fact we had it, you know?) for breakfast or was it sizzilean or something like that...anyway. I saved mine just to eat it when Mr. Fox broke in to the store room with the bacons and hams. I stored it on the inside "ledge" of the bunk bed (mattress support for upper bunk"). It seemed so... rustic and befitting a secret feast. Ha ha! Funny how some memories stick and lengths a kid'll go to be part of their fav. story! What happened to my great imagination? Maybe the "witch" stole it. Tee Hee! :D
Sam and Jake rock!
